Elizabeth Hare was born and grew up in the south of England and moved north to Lancashire in 1980. After retiring from being a full time academic she taught creative writing for the Open University for five years, and now spends her time writing, doing voluntary work and gardening. Her two previously published pamphlets are Out of the Ordinary (self-published 2012) and Gardening with My Father (Grey Hen 2015). She is also published in literary magazines and gives regular readings and workshops. She lives in Lancaster.
